I have Eye Spy perform a service evaluation and bar spot once a month in each one of my seven restaurants. They also have a section of the evaluations that scores the managers. I take this section, as well as, the overall Eye Spy score and use it as a base for the manager’s quarterly and yearly bonuses. Since we’ve been doing this, the manager’s scores, as well as, the staff’s scores have shot way up. Management is way more accountable when it comes right out of their pockets via bonuses.
My nightclub used to have a huge “shrinkage” problem; God I hate that word, “shrinkage.” Anyway, the sales and the receipts just didn’t add up. We brought in Eye Spy and they immediately detected where the “shrinkage” was taking place. Now we have them come in every 2 weeks and post their evaluations to the staff; they’re always on their toes now. We also took their suggestion about Bevinco beverage variance system and have them perform audits once a month. With these two systems in place, our “shrinkage” has shrunk to nothing.

How many times have you been on the 101 freeway and someone screams by you doing 101 miles an hour? Of course there’s never a cop in sight. When you do see a cop everyone is driving very slowly directly behind them being extra cautious. Sometimes in my restaurant I really feel like that highway cop ‘cause I know some of my staff our definitely ‘speeders’ when I’m not around. I love Eye Spy ‘cause they act like my personal restaurant “photo cop” whenever I’m not around. Now everyone drives slowly whether I’m there or not.
